Gravenhurst is Planning for the Future!

The Town of Gravenhurst is holding a Special Meeting of Council to initiate a review of its Official Plan. This meeting marks the beginning of the review process, “Our Gateway to Tomorrow,” which will result in a complete strategic replacement of the Town’s existing Plan. The new Official Plan will serve as a dynamic new roadmap for the Town to 2056.

Why is There a Special Meeting of Council?

Before revising the Official Plan, Section 26(3) of the Planning Act requires Council to hold at least one special meeting, open to the public, to discuss revisions that may be required to the Official Plan. The purpose of this meeting is to provide an opportunity for input on issues and matters that members of the public believe should be considered as part of the Official Plan review.
