Project Background
The Town of Gravenhurst, following a public consultation process, has implemented a new Parks, Recreation and Trails Master Plan.
The plan serves as a guide for the next 10 years.
The town thanks Monteith Brown Planning Consultants for its assistance in developing the plan.

Leave land bordering the waterfront in the city for everyone.
The condos and the Marriot could have been on the other side of 169, still with a view, leaving parks and trails like in Orillia and Collingwood for the tourists and citizens of Gravenhurst. In future consider the citizens as well as long term.

I lived in Gravenhurst, I live in Orillia where there are many public paths and trails? Is Gravenhurst as a tourist destination is lacking?
The only places in Muskoka with significant trails are Limberlost, The Barrens and the conservation area. Not very much for the district size and to attract tourists. Look to the many trails in Simcoe for the public bith local and tourists

Children's Playground on Municipal Lot in Severn Bridge (Southwood Road by Fairgrounds)
Approve the use of the land and help provide funding (plus additional fundraising and grants) to build an inclusive area for all community members to enjoy. A children's playground should be built.

Add more Tennis and Pickleball courts. Explore opportunities to acquire funding from OTA and Tennis Canada to support a three season bubble
A cluster of accessible Racquet sport courts- open all year round would help maintain physical, mental and social fitness of our population. Sponsor a team of both tennis and Pickleball enthusiasts to ensure the concepts are suitable. Just an aside- why does the Talisman concept drawings show basketball courts instead of Pickleball courts? Seems like a waste considering that it is a Seniors residence and Seniors make up a large population of the Pickleball players.
